Search for 'safe, sensible' pony

SOUTH Downs Equestrian at Upper Beeding has just suffered a major loss to its team of ponies.

One particular pony, a Shetland called Scooby, who was loahned to them in March, has been reclaimed by its owner because of family circumstances.

Jill Blake said: "Scooby had become a major player in our little group of ponies. We had just begun to realise what a star he was, so reliable and trustworthy with the children who ride here and we are all totally devastated to lose him so soon.

"He had been visiting local playgroups for "touch and feel" sessions and had also proved to be so safe that we could use him for several small special needs children.

" We understood that he would be on long term loan and to have him taken back because of family circumstances, leaves a huge hole that many of the children cannot understand. So I would like to make a plea to anyone who has a very quiet, sensible pony under 11hands and would like a really loving five star home for him to contact us as soon as possible.

" We really do need a replacement quickly as it is impossible to explain to very small children why "their" special pony isn't here any longer".

Can you help, or maybe you have a friend with a pony like this. If so, please contact, Jill Blake on 01903 814860 urgently.
