Sidley show signs they've turned the corner

SIDLEY United are hoping to turn their recaptured spirit into three points at home to Arundel on Saturday March 16.

A recent run of poor form effectively ended the Blues' title defence and saw them knocked out of the John O'Hara League Cup, but two consecutive draws have seen some of the old Sidley fight return.

Joint manager Peter Heritage said: "I think the next two games against Arundel and Three Bridges are important for us. We want to stay unbeaten for the rest of the season and go for second place.

"Forget Burgess Hill, we know all about them. We just want to do as well as we can and I think a 2nd place finish and a semi final in the cup will be a successful season for us."

United are likely to be without key players Adam Day, Chris Copley, Timmy Bolton and Peter Baker, as well as long term casualties Wayne Farrier and Paul Sully.

The Blues travel to Three Bridges on March 19.
