Sidley suffer 5-0 drubbing

A HAT-TRICK from Pagham's Lee Stevens condemned Sidley United to a 5-0 drubbing at Gullivers on Saturday. The result leaves United 7th in Sussex Division One, with Pagham moving up to second behind runaway leaders Burgess Hill.

James Mandry opened the scoring after 10 minutes before he had to take over in goal from Wes Hallett, who was taken to hospital after a challenge on 20 minutes. Stevens hit his first to extend the visitors lead on 35 minutes and grabbed his second just before half time. He completed his hat-trick on the hour mark before Russell Hardwell rounded off the scoring five minutes from time to cap a miserable day for The Blues.
