Sixth-formers savour success

TWO girls are Our Lady of Sion School, Worthing, have finished first and third in the recent Sussex Schools Cross-Country Championsip at Stanmer Park, Brighton.

Brittany Saville and Abigail Fowlie are sixth form students Brittany won the race for the fourth time and Abi was placed third.

Both girls race regularly very successfully, and have often shared the honours in past races. They will now be running for the Sussex team at the English Schools Championships.The girls have been keen runners for a number of years.

After having competed in races for their schools and racing independently, they both joined Worthing and District Harriers. Showing a strong aptitude for middle distance running they progressed to the elite squad in 2005 and are now coached by Chris Marsden. Chris helps them keep a running diary, and sets realistic goals and targets for each season.
