Sizzling Sabodo fries up the record

OLUFUNMI SOBODU has qualified to run against the best juniors on the planet after becoming the Worthing Harriers' fastest sprinter.

At 16, he wiped out Mark Fabes' 32-year-old club men's 100 metres record with 10.73sec to take the South of England Under-17 title at Chelmsford at the weekend.

The time qualifies him for World Junior Championships entry and makes him the nation's fastest this year at his age group.
