Soft centre becomes a tasty option
Pulborough trainer Amanda Perrett has had more second places than she would like recently. But her filly Soft Centre, bred and sponsored by the Normandie Stud at Kirdford, dead heated on Saturday at Goodwood in the prestigious Lupe Stakes.
It was a thrilling finish with judges unable to separate Soft Centre and Rising Cross trained by John Best at Maidstone.
Another highlight on Saturday was the win by the Mick Channon trained Championship Point, in the Predominate Derby Trial.
