Speedster Morgan has Golf races down to a tee

The CMW Motorcycles principal dealer’s car is run by Slidesports and managed to qualify in 16th place in 2.15min on the Sunday morning after Saturday’s session was postponed through torrential rain.

Morgan got off to a good start in race one and ploughed his way up through the field during the five-lap race.

Lap after lap saw him make progress on a dry circuit, and by the time he took the chequered flag he had moved up into a creditable seventh place.

Race two saw Morgan start from seventh but with the track now damp after a big shower, the drivers were on mixed tyres with some using wets while others decided to remain on slicks.

Morgan had a reasonable start for this nine-lap race, but on lap four his race was cut short and had to retire.

The next rounds will be held at Silverstone in September, with Morgan seventh in the championship standings on 202 points.
