Stablehand wins prize for preparing the best turned out race horse

Zac Fitzgerald from Angmering in West Sussex, stablehand of Illustrious Blue, who ran in and consequently won, the Letheby and Christopher Festival Stakes at Goodwood recently, received a cash prize from the sponsors after he won the Bedst Turned Out Award.

Zac, who works for Angmering-based trainer William Knight, was looking after Illustrious Blue on behalf of the bay/brown colt's lass Heidi Cunningham.

Heidi is currently in hospital but is hoping to be back at Lower Coombe Stables within sex weeks time.
