STONEHAM LOOKING POSITIVE

LITTLEHAMPTON captain Stuart Stoneham was encouraged by Saturday's performance at East Grinstead, even though the scorecard showed a one-sided contest.

Stoneham said: "We just need two things. To start holding some catches and have our full side available on a consistent basis."

Forced into four changes from last week's draw with Stirlands, Stoneham was without Karl Stedman, Geoff Cole, Steve Kirkham and Neil Hewitt. Martin Pallant and Richard James returned, Mike Purcell and Robin Ward moved up from the seconds with Kevin Staight keeping wicket.
