Striders go cross country
WORTHING Striders took part in the Sussex County Cross-Country Championship at Stanmer Park.
Ed O'Brien came seventh in the men's seven-and-a-half-mile event in a time of 43min 55sec. Cy Lawrence was in 37th with 51:08, Richard Speller 80th with 57:48, Peter Wirtzfeld 84th with 58:16 and Simon Crook 103rd in 62:51.
In the women's four-mile race, Jane Lawrence was 25th in 32:00 with Dawn Cobbet 54th in 38:02.
