Success for school riding team
FARLINGTON School, Horsham, had an outstanding result at the 16th Mini and Junior Inter- Schools One Day Event Team Championships held at Stonar School in Wiltshire. The school took three teams and two individuals to compete over the weekend of May 19 and 20.
A total of 37 teams were entered in the Junior section and the Farlington team came first. This was an excellent achievement to add to the great results that the Farlington Riding Squad has already achieved in equestrian events over the last year.
These include the National Showjumping Championships at Hickstead and the NSEA Championships.at Merrist Wood. The winning team at Stonar consisted of Anna Calvert (who won her section), Lucy Anna Westaway (who came second in her section) and Tamsin Clarry and India Parker-Smith. Both Farlington mini teams who competed at Stonar were placed in the top ten out of 23 teams.
