Success of first Pony Club trials

An inaugural hunter trials event was held by Crawley and Horsham Hunt South Pony Club in Arundel Park recently, thanks to the generosity of the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk, who assisted with building of some fences, devising a new cross country course.

The combination of 2 to 3 ft fences, with terrain and length of the course providing a testing and interesting route for riders in the Open, where the course was almost two miles long and attracted 35 entries with ten clear round.
