Sussex glory for Steyning teams

STEYNING Grammar School won the South Sussex Swimming Championship at Arun Leisure Centre.

Other teams competing were from Angmering, Boundstone, Davison, Durrington, King's Manor, Lancing College, Littlehampton, Shoreham College, Sion School, Towers and St Andrew's Worthing.

Steyning entered two teams in the girls' competition and both of them put in exceptional performances.

The grammar school was the overall winner with 110 points, six points ahead of Angmering and the second team came sixth.

The girls' sections were outright winners in their competition, with the boys second in theirs.
