Teenager Josh makes waves among water skiers

The 14-year-old, a member of Chichester Water Ski Club, has completed all but two elements of the British Water Ski & Wakeboard Cutting Edge Gold Award.

He has set himself up to complete the gold award by May 2011.

With winter training at Princes Club in Middlesex and Gosfield Lake in Essex, Josh is determined to get the gold.

Next year is when he steps on to the national scene and will enter national competitions around the UK. The Chichester club have many young water skiers and wakeboarders who have completed bronze and silver awards.

The Cutting Edge awards are run throughout water ski clubs in the UK and form part of the PE syllabus at GCSE level.
