There's no foiling Chichester fencers in Sussex championships

Chichester Fencing Club fielded an excellent team of young men to compete in the Sussex under-16 foil championships.

All fenced superbly on the day with Chichester’s team taking the title and the trophy with consummate ease – as they have done for many years previously.

This was another wonderful success for team-mates Jamie Loake, Oliver Hayward, Ethan Walker, Thomas Hosking and Matt Baker.

Hayward fenced superbly in his first under-16 individual event, eventually finishing in second place – a wonderful performance and definitely not the last medal this talented young man will scoop.
