Tone Zone’s marathon men and women shine

Its been a busy couple of weeks for the Bognor Tone Zone Runners, with members competing in a total of eight races.

In the Gosport Half Marathon, a testing course that can provide personal bests for many runners, Simon Gill finished in 1hr 14min 49sec, closely followed by youngster Harry Annals in 1.21.14.

The club fielded 22 runners, many achieving season and lifetime PBs.

A slightly hillier and slower course challenged several club members, the Meon Valley Half. Mark Williamson came home first for the club in 1.52.08, closely followed by Neil Strudwick in 1.54.13.

Tony Hancock and Carolyn Stapely ran the Jersey Half Marathon with Stapely coming second in category with 1.43.14.
