TOWN ARE STILL FIGHTING

STEYNING'S promotion hopes took a jolt on Saturday, when they lost at their fortress Shooting Field home for only the second time this season.

Pease Pottage and Steyning, both in the chase for senior football next season would had this down as a vital fixture in the chase for promotion.

Town made it harder for themselves than necessary, although they have two games in hand.

In a game played on a hard surface, and with a strong wind blowing down the pitch, Pease Pottage coped better throughout despite having midfielder John Petty taken to hospital by ambulance with a suspected broken arm.
