Town celebrate rare win

BEXHILL Town recorded only their fifth win of the Sussex County Third Division season on Saturday.

In their first match since the sacking of manager Gary Light, the new democratic style of management with player chairman Del Longley at the head bore fruit with a 2-1 win over Crawley side TSC.

The three precious points lifted the Green Machine out of the two relegation places.

The early signs were worrying as TSC opened the scoring through Waller after only eight minutes.

Sam Rimmer scored a vital equaliser shortly before half time and Steve Cresswell stole a winner with ten minutes to go.
