Town knock out Oak

HOLDERS Mile Oak blew a 2-0 lead against 10-man Steyning to lose their grip on the Division 2 Cup which they won in April.

Instead, Town go through to the quarter-finals, where they will travel to Crawley Down.

Paul Eaton gave Oak a third-minute lead and Steyning keeper Dave Angell then made a fantastic save from Eaton to stop his side from going two-down.

Greg Hearne missed a great opportunity to draw Steyning level and Oak doubled their lead 10 minutes into the second half when Eaton lobbed Angell from Jamie Ash's cross.

Two minutes later, it seemed as though things had got even worse for Steyning. Captain Ben Garman was sent-off for violent conduct but that just seemed to rally his side.
