It could easily have undone the good work from the week before.

This wasn t to be, as the Bexhill boys put on a great display starting straight from the first whistle, when a great passing move left Ransom one on one with the home keeper who blocked well and the home defence scrambled clear.

This served to be a wake-up call for the home side; after some frank verbal exchanges they played more as their league position would suggest.

A sustained period of attacking pressure eventually saw a cross from the right met by a grateful forward who made no mistake and left Taylor no chance from ten yards out.

The signing of Steve Galt combined with a greater sense of belief meant Bexhill didn t panic, a few encouraging words and the side transformed into the sapling, the acorn from the previous week had promised.

The defence tightened up, the midfield came alive and the forwards looked sharper all resulting in Bexhill taking the game by the scruff for the rest of the half, this ended 1-1 after persistence from Rimmer saw the ball break for Sparks who fed Warner, the measured chip that followed was a fitting finish to a good move.

The second half started much as the first ended with Bexhill in control, for the first time this season passing dominated the attacking play and a slick move that involved half the team saw Sparks latch onto an Anderson ball, break into the box, round the keeper and finish from a tight angle.

Home heads went down, visiting tails were up, further raids on the home goal saw Sparks shooting from distance and a plethora of melees around the eighteen yard box.

A breakaway nearly spoilt the party but Taylor was in no mood to make a mistake after a faultless performance and saved well from the shot, normal business resumed and again Anderson played the ball into the path of Sparks whose drive from 25 yards saw the home keeper unable to move before the net bulged.

A tired Anderson was replaced by Kayne, who promptly created a great chance for himself and another for Warner.

After that the shutters went up, the game was over as a contest and Bexhill rode out the final few minutes to take their second win in two games.
