Trampoline team toast Scotland success

FIVE elite performers from Dragonflyers Trampoline Club went to Scotland for a National League event in Perth.

With more than 370 national participants from all over Britain and the home nations international being held at the same venue, the standard was exceptionally high and the atmosphere electric. All Dragonflyers performed extremely well, controlling their nerves and raising their game.

Ten-year-old Libby Morton, competing in the under-12 girls, performed a stunning set routine and executed her new voluntary nine somersault 5.1-tariff routine with accuracy, precision and grace to gain a superb bronze medal.

Karis Pullen, trying out a new voluntary routine of ten someraults containing multiple twists, was in the under-16 girls’ group and also took bronze.

Under-14 girls Anya Johnston, Ellie Morton and Taylor Cleall were last to compete. Buzzing with excitement, the girls managed to control their adrenaline, maintain their composure and execute routines ensuring all three gained points towards national finals by finishing in the top 24.

Johnson continued her success taking silver to add to her bronze from Cardiff and silver from Denmark – putting her at the top end of the ranking list.

Morton came 15th, closely followed by Cleall in 16th. All the trampolinists enjoyed their experience.
