Twelvetrees flies out to solve Lions injury crisis
Former Horsham and Pulborough colt Billy Twelvetrees has been called up into the Lions squad following the team’s injury problems.
The 24-year-old Gloucester centre was a contender for the initial squad after impressing in England’s 6 Nations campaign, and again impressed in last weekend’s strong win in Argentina, scoring one of the side’s tries.
Twelvetrees was due to fly from Buenos Aires today (Wednesday) and should arrive in Sydney on Friday ahead of the final warm up game against New South Wales Waratahs on Saturday, with the three-test series beginning later this month.
