While calling the departures a “blow”, player/manager Gary Charman told the official website that he expects the core of players to stay, while some “very exciting” new faces would be coming to trial.

The club submitted a planning application for their new ground two weeks ago. The hearing is expected to take place sometime in September, although an exact date is not likely to be set until August.

The club is encouraging people to write letters of support. For details visit the website www.hornetsreview.co.uk
