Uckfield Town youth team plan

Uckfield Town Football Club have re-formed their youth team after a break of some six years.

Uckfield Grasshoppers under-16s have moved on to Uckfield Town, and next season's new under-18s youth team is still recruiting new players to play in the Sussex County Youth League.

The head coach Steve Mockford and his assistants Graham Ellis and Steve Ryan have been involved in junior and youth football for nearly ten years.

They are seeking players from surrounding areas capable of playing to a reasonable standard, especially any budding goalkeepers. The player must be under 18 on July 31, 2006.

The first open training session will be at St Philips School playing fields tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am to midday. The aim is to try to keep the team together to progress as a unit to a senior league.
