Barbara Cordner was up against university student Georgie Hernon.

Georgie won the first set 6-2 and was 5-2 up in the second set before Barbara managed to fight back to 5-5.

It was all to no avail, though, as Georgie sealed the title with a 7-5 win in the second set.

The strong wind meant that it was difficult to judge the weight of shot.

Some barely getting over the net while others flew out of the court.

In a socially distanced award ceremony, Club President Graham Landom presented Georgie with her first trophy, to join her mum Jenny on the honours boards.
