Defeat by 1-0 despite a determined performance worth a draw on Saturday at Rye & Iden United, who thereby clinched runners-up spot, ended not only in Neil Shelley being sent off, but with wins for Chichester and Sidley United, then East Grinstead's on Tuesday, creating new relegation quicksand for United.
