Unstoppable Haywards Heath Harrier Kim takes another victory

Lo was first lady by almost two minutes, in her best time for this distance of 1:27.27 picking up silverware and prizes for her efforts.
Lo was delighted with the win: ‘It was a lovely flat route along the river but the tow path was quite unforgiving on the feet. I was really pleased to take the lead at the six mile mark and finish strongly with a personal best’.

Hide AdLo’s victory is further evidence of her ever improving form and the strength of the club outside of the county. Amanda Soper had a terrific race to finish 17th amongst the ladies with her time of 1:42:28. Phil Payne had another great run with a 17th place finish overall in 1:24.54.
The Harriers continue to seek races in preparation for forthcoming marathons. In wet and cold conditions, Carl Bicknell had a great performance to finish the adidas Silverstone Half Marathon, at the iconic motor racing circuit, in 1:36.59. Andy Bloxam finished in a stunning fifth position in the Kingston 20 mile race in 2:09.24.
At the Clair parkrun, Harrier Andy Guy, who was trailing by 50 metres coming into the last lap, overcame the deficit, taking victory in a personal best time of 18:34. Kat Barrett was second lady with her best of 21:40 and junior Tom Spensley clocked his best in 22:18 for this hilly circuit. It was a good weekend all round for Kim Lo who, along with Mags Lazell, raised almost £300 for charity Meningitis Now at the event by selling cakes and bacon sandwiches.
