Vicki's setting the standard to reach a national target

The Sussex Schools Athletics Championships held at K2 on Saturday saw Crawley AC athletes triumph in several events.

The highlight was a new Inter Girls Championship Best Performance (and U17s club record) in the hammer by Vicki Pellett (pictured, right).

Vicki threw a massive 50.32m to improve her existing mark of 45.97m and reached the National Standard.

Also improving her own club record was Lotte Hoare who threw the senior girls’ hammer 46.66m.

Lauren Lethbridge reached the National Standard while winning the junior girls’ long jump with a leap of 5.05m.

Sophie Mansfield impressed when she won the senior girls’ 800m by the remarkable distance of 60m in 2min 18s.
