VIDEO: Champions Horsham blame lack of discipline for draw
Horsham Hockey Club men’s first XI skipper Duncan Howarth admitted his side allowed standards to slip in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Marden Russets in the South Hockey League.
A late goal from Freddie Campbell ensured Horsham took a point a week after they sealed the Kent/Sussex Regional Division title, but it did mean they surrendered their 100 per cent home record.
Howarth said: “Yes, we could be forgiven for not putting in a performance with the title wrapped-up, but we want to keep the bar high and our discipline was not there.”
