James Baker broke the tape in a chip time of 1hr 11min 52sec - breaking the course record he set himself in 2013.
His fellow Chichester Runners member Peter Concannon was more than six minutes behind but came second - not bad for a runner who generally runs over 5k and 10k and hadn’t even trained over this longer distance.

Hide AdGraham Russ was third and he too was some way behind and in front of those closest to him.
