It’s short of the 1,549 record figure set two years ago but they were still pleased with the total and the success of the day.

Gavin Oclee-Brown, of organisers Bognor Hotham Rotary Club, said: “We were the grateful beneficiaries of another sunny morning for this years Bognor Prom 10k.

There were 1,397 finishers, which is a really good number of entrants. The vast majority are local people running for what is important to them.”
