WEBBER OFF ON DEBUT

NOT AN auspicious start back at Old Barn Way for Southwick's new signing Damian Webber, who lasted just 41 minutes before seeing red for his alleged head-butt on East Preston's David Hall.

Wickers finished the match with nine men, but for a different reason. Debutant Webber, returning to the club where he spent part of last season under Sammy Donnelly's management, was sent off by Hove official Paul Saunders for reported violent conduct with four minutes left in the first half and Wickers already 2-0 down.

It was a pretty good start for EP, but a disastrous one for Southwick keeper Lee Bray, who took too long over clearing a back-pass and watched the ball cannon back off Dave Walker and nestle in the net after just four minutes.
