West Worthing Tennis Club's successful mini tennis competitions in winter

WEST Worthing Tennis club has run a comprehensive Mini Tennis Competitions Programme for players aged 10 years and under throughout the winter season.

WEST Worthing Tennis club has run a comprehensive Mini Tennis Competitions Programme for players aged 10 years and under throughout the winter season.

Attracting more than 120 children, including some of the best from the southeast within the 29 events that will have been run by the end of the season in March, more than 1,000 matches will have been played.

To celebrate the success of this new programme and recognise some outstanding achievements the club is staging a Mini Tennis Awards event on Saturday April 10 from 11.30-1pm at the Indoor Tennis Courts at the West Worthing Tennis and Squash Club.

Awards:

For red (U8), orange (U9) and green (10 and under) ball players there will be awards for the Boy and Girl that have played the most number of matches and to the Boy and Girl that have won the highest number of matches. In addition to these awards there will be special awards to for the Boy and Girl that have shown great sportsmanship while competing at the club. A total of 14 awards will be presented on the day.

The awards presentation will be part of a busy mini tennis day at the club.

By staging the presentation as part of a whole day of mini tennis it is envisaged that we will have full entries (up to 60 players) for the events on the day.
