WHITEHAWK HELD BY EP

EAST PRESTON battled well to earn a valuable point against high flying Whitehawk at a freezing Lashmar on Friday night.

Until last week's scoreless draw at Horsham YMCA, EP had been waiting all season for a clean sheet. Now, like London buses, two have come along at once. What is most credit worthy is that they have come against sides at the top of the table.

In fact Whitehawk started Friday's encounter third from top as opposed to EP's third from bottom. Although on this evidence it was impossible to see such a differential between the teams.
