In the elite premier south, the women’s rugby and football first teams suffered tough losses at home.

The rugby team were minutes from securing a famous win over Bath before conceding two late tries for a 21-17 loss. The football side, in their last league fixture of the season, lost 4-2 to top-of-the-table UWIC.

That defeat leaves their league status in the hands of other team’s results.
