After the sell-out success of their new breed of triathlon, the organisers of #supbikerun have announced they are taking the event across the UK.

Leading online action sports and lifestyle retailer Surfdome.com will present the triathlon series for adrenaline addicts. The event replaces traditional triathlon disciplines and will see participants enduring a 3k stand-up paddleboard (SUP) race, 30k mountain bike race and a 5k trail run across a variety of terrains.

It will bring triathletes, SUPers, mountain bikers, trail runners and outdoor enthusiasts a series of bigger, better and more challenging events across stunning locations in national Pparks throughout the UK. The #supbikerun series will be offering UK participants taster sessions, training and coaching ahead of the events all over the country, with the aim to get as many people involved as possible who have who have previously shunned triathlons.

With tickets available from www.supbikerun.co.uk, applicants can sign up for all three events at a discounted rate or try just one or two.

The first two events are at Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor National Park, on May 17, and Carsington water, on the edge of the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, on July 12.

Then on September 20, it’s back to Westhampnett Lake, Chichester, where it all began. After strong support and feedback from 2014’s participants, there’s a new bike course and an all-round challenging event.

Justin Stone, MD of Surfdome, said: “After our debut we sat straight down with the events director of #supbikerun to work out the delivery of the next three awesome events. For our customers it’s a great opportunity to come and join us at these super fun events, to take part, to try before you buy, to watch or to try SUP at any of the numerous taster sessions at some of the most stunning venues the UK has to offer.”

The series will be backed by Surfdome, Mitsubishi, Fanatic, Specialized, Little Miracles and Muc-Off.
