WICK THROUGH IN SENIOR CUP

THE arrival in the second half of substitute Lee Webber made all the difference for Wick on Tuesday night when they triumphed over a battling Lancing at Crabtree Park.

With two well-taken goals and a pivotal role in the other Webber helped ease Wick through an encounter that, until the interval, looked like going either way.

Wick started the brighter, with Hassan Yassan's good work down the right going unrewarded on five minutes when Matt Ray missed his cross narrowly.

Paul Morby then forced Lancing keeper Simon Davey into an excellent save 10 minutes later with a fierce first-time drive from the edge of the box.

More details in Littlehampton Gazette on October 3.
