Win some, lose somebut both are close

It was a case of win some, lose some for the Weald’s lower teams as the 3rds lost their local derby with Burgess Hill 3-2 but the 4ths beat East Grinstead 3rds by the same margin.

Steve Chinn drove out a 3-1 win for the 3rds and Conrad Thompson produced some steady squash to win in three.

But Bob Brimfield’s opponent finally realised tactics were better than power to win 3-1, while Dave Jump and Ben Nelson went down in three.
