Windy seas rough on Hone
CONTENDER class helm Jerry Hone capsized then broke his mast in the force 4-5 during Lancing Sailing Club's racing on Sunday.
That left Ian Beale (RS400) the Fast handicap winner from Roger Jamesom (Laser2). The wind and tall, steep waves brought fast, exciting sailing down the waves but it was a test to keep boats moving the opposite direction.
The Medium Fleet raced close all round the large course but in the battle among the Lasers, although Andy Carter overtook Paul Fewster he could not catch the leader from the start, Jimmy Carter.
