Highest ranked competitor and £50 tournament bounty Tom Doig, and England under-25 talent Daniel Morris will join Rednall in a strong line-up for an event which is part of the national PlanetBowls.com 2013/14 circuit.

With £900 going to the winner, £400 to the runner-up, £150 to the semi-finalists and £50 to the quarter-finalists, all 62 places available for the knockout competition have been snapped up.

The first round is set to get underway from 1pm tomorrow (Saturday) with a full day’s play scheduled for Sunday. Matches will be played over two sets of seven ends with a three-end tie-break if necessary.
