Already crowned Division 1 champions, Pavilion finished the campaign with 18 wins from as many games after a 91-67 victory over Southbourne, which gave them eight of the ten points.

Southbourne gave a spirited performance off the back of taking ten points against Norfolk the previous day to secure their place in Division 1 next year.

Alan Vidler was Pavilion’s banker rink and he recorded a 37-8 triumph. John Frew’s rink were two down going into the last end, Pavilion were then holding two and Frew made his last wood count with a perfect draw to win 21-20.

Peter Bunce’s rink were one down after 18 ends but then picked up two on both the 19th and 20th ends and one on the final end to win 17-14.

Ron Rebera went down 25-16 on his rink.

Pavilion’s B team had already won Division 2 and the C side had sealed the Division 3 title.
