YAPTON MISS OUT ON TITLE

It proved to be a monumental anti-climax. At 3pm, both sides began the quest for the West Sussex League Premier Division Title. Sadly for Yapton, it wasn't even close '” they were second best almost all the way through as they lost 4-1 to Chichester Hospitals.

That was despite an added bonus handed to them on Saturday morning.

They had thought they needed to win and Hospitals s could do it with just a draw, but that position was reversed on Friday evening when the League decided Rogate had used an inelegable player in the recent defeat of Yapton and Yapton were handed the points.
