Young footballers get their kicks
FORTY keen and eager youngsters were guided through the tricks of the footballing trade as part of an FA coaching course at Little Common Football Club.
The week-long programme was divided into two parts with the nine to 11-year-olds getting their chance from Monday to Wednesday, last week, and the seven and eight-year-olds on Thursday and Friday, all under the eye of local training staff Russell Eldridge and Grant Burge.
The youngsters also each took home a trophy for taking part in an event which the club has run on an annual basis for more than 10 years. Club spokesperson Margaret Cherry said: "It was great and the kids loved it."
