Sompting Youth 0 Predators FC 1

Predators claimed victory with a gutsy performance. Every Sompting effort was snaffled out by the defence or saved by the safe hands of Fellows and then countered by the midfield and forwards of Predators.

After the break, Tigers forced a corner. Clarke's fantastic delivery was met by a leaping Hamilton to head home his first goal and give the team a well-earned win.

Rustington Park Youth 2 Chichester City United 3

A fierce midfield battle was the theme of the game and strong play by Alfie Shaw, James Scutt and James Amos forced Rustington into an own goal.

The hosts soon levelled, but an impressive solo effort by Shaw restored Chichester's lead. A good pass from Scutt and neat finish from Patrick Turner made it 3-1.

Rustington scored again but a man-of-the-match performance by Charlie East at right-back gave Chichester the win.

Midhurst & Easebourne United 4 Middleton Diamonds 1

Midhurst maintained their thre-point lead at the the top of the A league with a pleasing win over last season's winners.

Connor Seal won the ball in midfield and set up Ben Pett for the opener '“ a half-volley from 18 yards which crept inside the post.

Pett was tripped inside the area, but his penalty was well saved.

Eddie Davis made it 2-0 with a neat turn and shot from 10 yards, and Ryan Bicknell made it 3-0 at half-time from close range.

Middleton were stronger in the second half.

Man of the match Brandon Konieczny was outstanding in defence and Cameron Shadbolt made several brilliant saves but Middleton pulled one back.

Connor Reid made it 4-1 with an excellent individual goal.

Whyke A 1 Highdown Saints A 6

Whyke were a relatively-good match for Highdown in the first half, but fell apart in the second.

There were a couple of good individual performances but no team cohesion. Man of the match was Owain Webb.

Sompting & Thistle Youth C 1 Whyke Utd B 1

There was a fairly even start, with Whyke creating chances.

Whyke opened the scoring on 12 minutes through a good all-round passing move, finished by George Whitfield, his first of the season.

Whyke missed further chances and were slow to start in the second half and Sompting & Thistle put the pressure on and equalised.

A hard-fought game followed with great defending by man of the match Shane Stentiford.

UNDER-11

Predators Yth Blue 1 Wittering United 3

After 20 minutes, the deadlock was broken when Sam Gardener slotted home a good Witterings cross.

Witterings piled on the pressure but resolute defending and goalkeeping kept it at 1-0.

The second half saw Witterings get a second as Callum Thorpe's shot went in off the post.

From the restart, a fantastic save from Joe Cullum in the Witterings goal thwarted Predators. But five minutes later they did get a goal after breaking away after a Witterings corner.

Wittering sealed the game with a solo effort again from Gardener to keep them top of the table.

Avisford Youth 7 Worthing Town Youth B 1

Avisford captain Matt Rodway was too hot to handle as everything came off for the home side.

Rodway scored an early one, Billy Harmer made it 2-0 and goals by Rodway and Stewart Longcroft made it 4-0. Worthing scored just before half-time.

Corey Levy struck a fine shot into the top corner. Rodway completed his hat-trick and Ryan Misselbrook finished the scoring.

Man of the match was Matt Rodway.

Bognor Regis Town Colts 0 Regis 2000 B 2

Bognor started well in their cup quarter-final and went close a couple of times early on. But, as the first half went on, Regis started to play some good football.

Regis took the lead when Jay Garner headed home against his former club and went further ahead when Garner scored again.

In the second half, Bognor put Regis under pressure but they defended well, with Curtis Poole and Xavier Southerton having great games for Regis at the back.

Regis nearly extended their lead a couple of times and deserved the win.

Northchapel 4 Handcross Tigers 0

Northchapel kept alive their dream of the double.

Marr in the Chapel goal touched the ball just once in the first half, but there was no end product.

After a half-time talk, Wright gave Northchapel the lead and the floodgates opened. Goals from Dowdell, Warren and Peacock completed the scoring and the Handcross keeper made save after save. Liam Kitchener was man of the match.

Felpham Colts 3 Rustington Park Youth Select 2

Felpham started with only ten players and conceded an early goal. But they fought back and equalised through Liam Hicks.

Sam Rowe put Felpham ahead with a header from a corner before Rustington pulled it back to 2-2.

Alfie Lydon lashed home a free-kick for the winner.

Worthing Minors Athletic 1 Predators Blue 2

Manager Andy Miles promised changes for this match, and they worked well.

Predators' new formation kept Worthing at bay and Drew Miles' kicking ability in goal troubled Worthing.

One of his kicks led to Tyler Corris beating the offside trap to put Predators 1-0 up.

Another kick by Miles found Damien Burcacki, who laid the ball back to Corris to lob home.

Worthing scored a well-deserved goal on the half-hour.

Miles was the busiest keeper but he made save after save. Man of the match was Ollie Hockley.

Chi City Colts 3 Rustington Otters 4

The second round of the GB Lions tournament saw the Colts bow out.

A strike from Groom from outside the area saw Colts take an early lead. Otters equalised just before half-time and went 2-1 up just after the break.

Otters scored twice more but the home team battled on and Forry and Groom made it a close finish.

Pagham Youth 14 Lancing Rangers Select 1

Pagham got off to a great start with Gonzalez opening the scoring.

Further goals followed from Knight, Inkle, Giles, Greene and Baker. Lancing pulled one back.

Worthing Minors 3 Bosham FC Youth 3

Worthing scored an early penalty and it looked as if form would out.

A fine effort from Bosham's Jordan Evans was nudged home by Mitchell Jones before Worthing scored again.

Bosham's new signing Ben Houghton scored a great first goal to send the teams in level.

Bosham went ahead for the first time when Evans rounded the goalie. Worthing levelled again and that's how it stayed.

Barnham Trojans 3 Midhurst & Easebourne Utd 4

Midhurst opened the scoring after ten minutes when a low shot squeezed in under the Barnham goalie.

Smith for Barnham launched a superb free kick which struck the underside of the Midhurst bar, enabling James to slot the ball home from close range.

A Midhurst forward turned on the spot and hooked the ball in to make it 2-1.

Barnham's Fortin drew a fantastic reaction save from the goalie when his powerful point-blank shot was parried over the bar.

Midhurst increased their lead when a low drive threaded its way through a crowd of players.

Barnham didn't give up and a goalmouth scramble saw the ball rebound off a defender into the Midhurst net for an own goal to draw the first half to a close at 3-2.

The second half opened with Barnham's James shooting just inches wide and team-mate Winterflood heading just wide.

Barnham's Smith levelled the scores when his free-kick sailed high into the net, leaving the goalie no chance.

Wagstaff for Barnham nearly gave his side the lead. His shot struck the bottom of the crossbar but bounced clear.

A superb opportunistic strike from distance by Midhurst won them the game.

Barnham had one last chance when Dobson made a run and turned the defender but shot just wide.
