He will join the England U20 Elite Player Squad for the upcoming Six Nations tournament.

England won the tournament last year, beating France at Brighton’s Amex Stadium.

Waters, a scrum-half, has also previously played for Worthing and Esher.

He remains a supporter of Lewes RFC, where he learned to play rugby as a junior.

He is involved in fundraising for the club and regularly visits them at The Stanley Tuner Ground.

Calum is the third player in Lewes’ history with a connection to the England team.

Tom Mitchell, captain of the England 7s side which will be competing at the 2016 Olympics, is the son of scrum-half Alan, who played for Lewes in the 1970s.

Another member of the 7s squad, Tom Bowen, is also the son of a former Lewes player, Gareth Bowen.

Calum will be kicking off the under-20s Six Nations on Friday, February 5, with England away to Scotland.

He is one of just two new faces added to last year’s winning squad.
