Chichester Racquets & Fitness Club hosted a Sussex tour ten-and-under boys' singles event.

The grade-five tournament was the latest in a series of junior tournaments which will be staged at the club over the winter.

The boys’ singles event was run using a compass draw format of eight players with each match consisting of two short sets with a match tie-break if necessary.

Finlay Elliot and Tom Davy, both from Chichester, also played out the third-fourth place play-off with Finlay coming out on top 5-3, 4-2 to take the bronze medal.

Tournament organiser Peter Cook said: “As well as attracting new faces to the club it is very encouraging to see the emerging talent which we have here at Chichester competing regularly.

“Support for all the tournaments has been really good which also shows that more and more juniors are experiencing competition at all levels.”
