Zippo heads for the top with four out of four

OUTSTANDING Dutch warmblood stallion Zippo, based at Hardham, near Pulborough, has made it four dressage wins from four in his latest outings, winning two novice classes at Merrist Wood and two more at Brinsbury, where his performances were both rated an excellent 75 per cent.

Owned and produced by Karen Brown, five-year-old Zippo has now qualified for the Regional Championships and the Masters at Hickstead's Royal International Show. Following an accident where Karen broke her pelvis, he is now ridden by Emma Delauney, Karen's dressage trainer.

His latest four wins followed on the heels of his seasonal debut in the Dressage Masters League, where he won a novice qualifier with 70.77 per cent and was second in another novice class, gaining 20 league points.

His performances signal an outstanding dressage future and he has clear capabilities of becoming a Grand Prix horse.
