'˜A Taste of Midhurst'

There was a '˜taste of Midhurst' at McCarthy and Stone's retirement home Turner House development.

It brought together organisations including Volunteer Now!, The Lions Club, Midhurst Music Society and the Midhurst Hub who all attended to talk about their work and volunteering opportunities in the community.

Guests were also treated to locally-sourced finger food by Caffé Verdi as well as the chance to win a luxury hamper from Cowdray Farm and floral arrangements in a grand prize draw.

Vicki Harrison, from the Midhurst Hub and The Tall Dog, said: ““It was a lovely day with great hospitality provided by McCarthy and Stone As a local company, it was great to be involved, to not only support the community but also to welcome new people to the area, meet new people and explain what we do in Midhurst.”

Julie Ward, regional sales and marketing director said: “We were overwhelmed by the response from local organisations who wanted to be involved. There is a wonderful community in Midhurst and it was a pleasure to showcase some if its finer attributes to our homeowners and guests.”

Turner House will be putting its party hat on again for ice-cream and Pimm’s from 2pm to 4pm on July 14.
