The exhibition also marks the launch of his new website: www.andywaite.net.

Andy said: “Many of these paintings have not been out of the storeroom for some while so it’s been interesting to see these works afresh, to observe the movement in approach, to watch horizons rise and fall and quite a relief to find that I can still connect with them, like meeting old friends after time apart and falling into easy conversation.

“I very much hope that they resonate with you and that you will enjoy sharing my journey, the ups and the Downs, the joy and the privilege of doing what I love and where pink always seems to find its way in and warm my heart.

“The exhibition includes landscape and figure paintings and are all available to purchase. I’m offering them at a 20 per cent reduced price for the month of March.

“The website now has the facility to buy from directly but do get in touch if there’s something you would like to discuss. Paintings can be delivered to you without charge (UK only) and I offer a ten-day return policy. Work is available to click and collect from my studio at 54 Tarrant Street, Arundel

While drawing inspiration and feeling from the Romantic tradition, Andy describes his contemporary landscapes as essentially expressionist in form and energy: “They are a poetic celebration of the English sky and weather in all their elemental power. The dynamic play of light and darkness in nature is mirrored by the emotions reflected and reimagined in both the gentle and tumultuous landscapes of earth and soul. The paintings do not always reveal themselves immediately, asking you to return and discover something not at first seen.”
