Fairlight Hall offers concert bass-baritone Ashley Riches
Spokeswoman Dominika Hicks said: “Having had to cancel two of their partnership recitals earlier this year, it’s wonderful to be back up and running while the weather still allows the Music Room to be open to the courtyard and safely distanced.”
The programme at Fairlight Hall will feature Dvořák, Poulenc and Ravel on Saturday, September 12 at 5pm; tickets £15 to include refreshments; only 25 tickets available via Fairlight Hall website. This is an outdoor performance. In the event of a bad weather, the event will be moved to Sunday, September 13 at 11am.

“He and pianist Sholto Kynoch (Oxford Lieder’s artistic director) give a programme of songs by Dvořák, Poulenc, Ravel and Ives that they will repeat at Wigmore Hall in October.
“The songs are all based in folk traditions that were so important to these composers.
“They start with Dvořák’s fiery Gypsy Songs: heart on sleeve, and equally thrilling and touching. Ravel’s Popular Songs are just that: the pop songs of their time given Rolls-Royce treatment by this master of evocative piano textures and imaginative harmonies. Alongside songs by Francis Poulenc and Charles Ives, this is a wonderful and uplifting programme: just what’s needed at the moment!
“Oxford Lieder Festival is the UK’s biggest and most renowned festival of classical song and the recipient of a prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Award.”
